The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas is hosting a free screening event for children ages 2 months to 5 years of age. Screening areas include: Behavior, Cognitive, Communication, Social, Gross, and Fine Motor Skills.

MisTer’z Barber Lounge will be providing free kids’ haircuts and swag bags to kick off the school year with its annual Kutz for Kids Back to School Event, Sunday, Aug. 10 starting at 10 a.m. (while supplies last). The address is 6393 Dr. MLK Jr. St., St. Petersburg.

Volunteers are needed as well as donations of school supplies for swag bags (pens, paper, composition books, colored pencils, crayons, erasers, pencils, folders etc.). Supplies can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Resources available during the Sanderlin Center's Thriving Thursdays include a food pantry, family services, and medical care. The Sanderlin Center hosts this event every Thursday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
